This is a tale about myself. You might see me in the same classroom, chatting with you or a multitasker—a jack of all trades, creative and talented. You might think I’m smart! But your academic achivements are often much higher than mine, even in the final race in life you are successful than me and many of you don’t know the backstory or the daily struggles I face.
In my childhood I often missed where I kept something, trouble to focus and find something and forget things, didn’t enjoy maths, I was punished at school, told off at home, I cried and in my own uttered my misfortune, I looked to the sky restarted another day. ADHD comes with special needs; simply trying harder doesn’t help. It can be painful and cruel to navigate the world without support, as it’s not about effort alone. People can be born with ADHD; it’s part of how their brains are wired. We just need to acknowledge and accept this. As a symbol or example some people take the slide, and some take the stairs.
